The Orange Bowl parade was a huge success on Monday afternoon in Coral Gables. The parade made its way down Ponce de Leon and Miracle Mile in the downtown area. Many wonderful floats filled with beautiful queen. Also one of the best horse displays I have ever seen. Beautiful paints, Arabians, all cleaned and dressed for their parade display. I saw many unique ways of braiding and dressage, can you tell I grew up a cowgirl? Lol
The parade also featured mini, mini coopers. The cutest cars driven my clowns I have ever seen. I sat on the street curb and those cars' windows were no taller than my height. Soooo adorable and entertaining.
Of course, Tiger Band led all the marching band entries. I was so proud to spell out Clemson in downtown Coral Gables, just to hear other Tiger Fans around me joining in. Bob and I even got a little time on the ACC Network camera, for playback on the game tonight, so look for that!
We have met up with 2 West Virginia fans, one on the interstate coming here, and one last night at The Cheesecake Factory where we had dinner. The one on the highway flipped us off and the other one screamed out how badly they were going to beat us. What's up with that? Whatever happened to "Howdy Neighbor?". Gheesh! Seems like I remember a certain Major Harris being demoted to Private when Clemson played WVU last. How about that? Lol..
Seriously however, game day is here. Clemson University gets the full stage, a chance to shine and showcase our talent and traditions. Danny Ford gets inducted into the Orange Bowl Hall of Fame! Bob gets to recall that special moment 30 years ago, when the impossible happened...
Come on Tigers, play hard, play smart, and when you look across the field at your WVU foes, shake their hands and then Kick their buttes, "1981 Style" ....
Go Tigers!
